I found this poster in Communication Arts Magazine, november 08. The poster was designed for one of the Target´s campaign, Grow, Explore, Create. First it got my attention because of its simplicity and cleanness, and although it could look a little chaotic because of the amount of elements I like how the color is distributed and how simple shapes creates other ones in a illustration where everything is connected.

These are 3 of Valeria Docampo's works, children's illustrator who i admire. And although she draws illustrations for children, she does it in a very profesional way and in a very personal style. I like her use of line and the use of color. Although the illustrations i chose are monochrome or almost monochrome, she has much more in bright and vivid colors appropriate for kids.

Here I leave her website so you can see the rest of her work

These are three of the great illustrations Nicoletta Ceccoli has in her portfolio. I really like how she mix the fantasy theme and children actions with a cold and mysterious atmosphere that are not specific designed for children. The smooth edges and the dull colors also help to create that atmosphere.
