Looking through Internet I found the website where there are work of different people. The illustrations of Caia Koopman got my attention. It like kids illustrations for adults.
I like the dark aspect of the illustration, not in color but in the style. It is great how line and color are combined. Take a look to the overall site, the artist has interesting works

This is a series of illustrations for Brawndo Bomber a german energy drink brand. Each of the images from part of a good marketing campaign. Every illustration is set in the center of the composition over a very light background which make the figure stands out. Also the warm background color, the dynamism of those figures and what they are and represent increase the concept of the energy drink.

This illustration named as "The Bear is the forest" is part of a series that Jenni Saarenkylä did and I took it from Computer Arts magazine summer 09. Because it monochromatic the image is unified by color, and because the diagonal line the trees and birds draw the image is also dynamic.

This is an illustration from Marta Antelo, I like the child and abstract style she has in her illustrations and the texture she applies. It seems as if the illustration was old.

what attracted me of this design from ID magazine 2007 is that the image is trimmed out from the page so you can see through it and see the colors that are in the next page. The image is very clean and the warm color palette help the organic shapes that are in contrast with the sharp edges from the trim.

This image from Communication Arts magazine summer 2009, it very very eye catching because of the surrealistic feeling theme it has and how it goes from that dark, cazy and almost death field atthe bottom to the light and alive tree that has a lot of detail on the top. Also, it is great how that contrast is also in the background, having a flat background at the bottom and the moon and other texture on the top.

I found this image in Communincation Art magazine January-February 2009. I really like how different the styles in the thought/speak balloon work with all that different script type that gives a personal and warm feeling over that dark and flat background.

I found this ad in How magazine February 2009. It caught my attention because of the style of the illustrations. I like how the figure is a little abstract and how important the line is for the style. Also, the softness of the color chosen make the illustration more appealing to me.

I found this illustration of Jenni Saarenkylä in Computer Art magazine and first it got my attention because of the color emphasis it has with the blue and red, but also because of the line style. I don´t know why, but somehow the style in the line reminds me Schiele´s artwork (artist whose work style i admire), maybe it is because in this illustration, line is as important as color or even more. The line has a lot of emotion in this illustration.

I found this poster in Communication Arts Magazine, november 08. The poster was designed for one of the Target´s campaign, Grow, Explore, Create. First it got my attention because of its simplicity and cleanness, and although it could look a little chaotic because of the amount of elements I like how the color is distributed and how simple shapes creates other ones in a illustration where everything is connected.

These are 3 of Valeria Docampo's works, children's illustrator who i admire. And although she draws illustrations for children, she does it in a very profesional way and in a very personal style. I like her use of line and the use of color. Although the illustrations i chose are monochrome or almost monochrome, she has much more in bright and vivid colors appropriate for kids.

Here I leave her website so you can see the rest of her work

With this illustration Ben Jelter (student from Academy of Art University’s School of Illustration ) was one of the finalists for the Society of Illustrators’ Student Scholarship Competition. I enjoy looking at the contrast between the gestural colored spots from the clothes and the delicate lines that draw the hands and the face

These are three of the great illustrations Nicoletta Ceccoli has in her portfolio. I really like how she mix the fantasy theme and children actions with a cold and mysterious atmosphere that are not specific designed for children. The smooth edges and the dull colors also help to create that atmosphere.

The illustrator is Deborah Niland. She illustrates a lot of children books. I really like the naif style of each of her illustrations as well as the reach amount of bright colors. Every illustration has a magic and worm atmosphere, appropriated for the public the illustration is made for, children. Here i leave a link to her web-site which as a children atmosphere that I've founded very interesting.
